Steve Says

MVTV hired Tabor Tree to clean up the grounds, and they have completed their work. The area in front of the building is looking trimmed and clean! We’re ready for more natural growth when the warm weather returns and will do more work to spruce up the grounds this spring.

There’s nothing better during these long winter months than to take in a few movies you may have missed …and for the month of January the Vineyard Haven Library will be screening some good ones, all for FREE. At 7pm on Tues Jan 7th the film Red Joan will be shown, and at 1pm on Sun Jan 19th, Downton Abbey: the Motion Picture will play.  Then at 7pm on Tues Jan 21st the documentary film The Last Pig, about ferm life contrasted against the steel and concrete of the slaughterhouse, will complete the month’s free film offerings.

Bring some hot cocoa and I’ll see you there!

Happy New Year to one and all! MVTV’s community collaborations start off with a bang. The 5th grade students participating in Edgartown Schools’ Enrichment Program will be producing a video that focuses on Kindness, The 6th Grade Enrichment students are completing their Oral History projects with the interviews of persons in the community that have a career that the students may be interested in. They will then prepare a cooking show here at MVTV!
MVTV’s community collaborations are far and wide: The Chilmark School, The Asalh Organization, The Martha’s Vineyard Museum, to name a few. Stay tuned for some great programming!
