During this workshop, participants create a drawn 'metamorphosis' cycle animation and build two-dimensional cut out puppets. The drawn cycles and cut out puppets are incorporated into a multi-plane animation shoot using Dragonframe. Look forward to seeing the final composited animation sequence on Channel 13. Fees cover puppet building materials, paper and drawing tools.

This two-session course expands on directing, audio, and lighting techniques. ‍

We will cover advanced audio recording techniques for video production and advanced audio editing in Adobe Premiere Pro. Participants learn proper microphone selection, microphone placement, signal flow, troubleshooting and the many corrections and enhancements available during the editing process.

Interview Techniques This class focuses on techniques for conducting a fruitful interview for both studio and field projects.

This workshop introduces participants to several animation techniques including 2D and 3D traditional animation as well as 2D and 3D computer animation. Multiple short films are screened in order to showcase each animation technique.

This two-session course is designed for anyone interested in creating public access television shows out in the field. The course is a hands-·on training using MVTV’s Panasonic HC- X2 field cameras and all optional accessories.

In this one-session course, participants learn how to produce their own timely or live 11in-studio11 television programs with little or no post-production needed. Hands-on instruction includes all the basics required to produce a multi--camera television show: camera and control room operations, audio, lighting, technical and floor directing.

Stop motion is an animation technique to make a physically manipulated object appear to move on its own. The object is moved in small increments between individually photographed frames, creating the illusion of movement when the series of frames is played as a continuous sequence. Many stop motion films can involve using humans, household appliances and other things for comedic effect.

This class teaches participants how to make the most effective use of MVTV's teleprompter system.

This one-session workshop will include a brief demonstration and hands-on practice with the Tricaster Switcher. 

The software is easy to pick up with our step-by-step editing instructions. If you are new to non-linear editing, an editing course will teach you how to capture, edit, adjust, manipulate, and export your own video projects. If you are already familiar with the process, this course will provide a great opportunity for you to acquaint yourself with our computer systems.
