JOIN MVTV
Cameras, editing equipment, and technical direction are made available to members of the community through an agreement with the cable service provider which, in Martha’s Vineyard’s case, is Comcast. MVTV, Channel 6, the Public Channel is the home for community members to showcase their arts, talents, opinions, news information and so much more. Island residents can create any kind of programming they want, whether it be sharing a special interest or educating the community on local historical or environmental issues, or even entertainment with an artistic or musical program.
We have a State of the Art Television station that includes a main studio, a video podcast station, a kitchen fully equipped for producing cooking shows for limitless ideas! And even more instrumental, Local Emergency Alerts are also cablecast on Channel 6.

Any student enrolled in the Martha’s Vineyard Public School System.

Membership Benefits
Open to all individuals who are members of the Martha’s Vineyard community and to all organized groups on Martha’s Vineyard including: schools, government agencies, hospitals, as well as social service, arts, environmental, science, religious, political and business groups. Minors require a parent or legal guardian to authorize their Active Membership status.
****Proof of identity may be required. Memberships are non-transferable and non-refundable. All dues must be paid prior to course registration. All membership dues are non-refundable.
Creative Resources:
Equipment & Facilities: Once certified, check out professional cameras, lighting, and audio gear.
Studio Access: Reserve time in our Main Studio, Podcast Studio, Kitchen Studio, or Edit Bays.
Training: Attend exclusive MVTV workshops and become certified to operate high-end production equipment.
Broadcasting & Community:
Air Your Content: Submit non-commercial programming to be scheduled on MVTV Channel 6.
Professional Opportunities: Qualify to become an MVTV or government videographer.
Member Perks: Enjoy reduced rates on hard drives and production materials.
Governance: Take advantage of all becoming a government videographer and/or MVTV videographer.
For Who?
Eligibility: Open to all Martha’s Vineyard residents and organized groups (schools, government, non-profits, arts, and businesses).

Household/Corp limits: Family memberships apply to immediate family at the same address. Organizational memberships cover up to six individuals within the same entity.
All residents of Martha’s Vineyard are encouraged to produce programs that present their point of view, express their creativity and inform their neighbors.
