MVTV Board Meeting Minutes 1.6.26

Introduction 

Anne Whiting called the meeting to order at 1:35 p.m.

Richard Knabel made a motion to accept the 12.2.25 MVTV Board Meeting Minutes. Bob Tankard seconded the motion. The vote was unanimous in favor with Bob Tankard, Rebecca Barca-Tinus and Geoffrey Parkhurst abstaining. 

Vote: 5 - In Favor, 0 - Against, 3 - Abstentions

Executive Director’s Report 

The MVTV Board had a discussion about the Weeks Lane Building Project. MVTV will be going to the Edgartown ZBA for a lodging house permit to get the building completed. The MVTV Board had a discussion about deed restrictions and septic service.

Stephen Warriner will schedule a power washing for the MVTV building. 

‍

Michelle Vivian presents new MVTV website ideas to the MVTV Board, with two proposals from website designers to redo and update the website and rebranding for MVTV. The MVTV Board and Michelle Vivian had a discussion about the update, proposals and hosting options for the website. 

‍

Richard Knabel made a motion to approve a $20,000 expenditure for web design to be determined. Bob Tankard seconded the motion. The Board had a discussion about the motion.

Ann Bassett spoke about starting the MVTV newsletter back up again. The MVTV Board had a discussion about newsletters and communication with members and the community.

Chairman’s Report 

The Holiday Party was a success. The next MVTV Board meeting will be 2.3.26 at 1:30 p.m.
