MVTV Board Meeting Minutes 2.3.26

MVTV Board Members Present: Fred Hancock, Ann Bassett, Anne Whiting, Bob Tankard, Richard Knabel, Marco Rivera, Peter Vincent, Rebecca Barca-Tinus and Leon Brathwaite 

MVTV Board Members Not In Attendance: Geoffrey Parkhurst and Helen Green Staff: Stephen Warriner

Introduction 

Anne Whiting called the meeting to order at 1:33 p.m.

Richard Knabel made a motion to accept the 1.6.26 MVTV Board Meeting Minutes as amended. Bob Tankard seconded the motion. The vote was unanimous in favor. 

Vote:9 - In Favor, 0 - Against, 0 - Abstention

Executive Director’s Report 

MVTV will be meeting with the Edgartown ZBA on February 18th to discuss the 27 Weeks Lane addition project. Anne Whiting spoke to the MVTV Board about the increase in budget for the project. The MVTV Board had a discussion about the budget and timeline of the project.

Bob Tankard made a motion to increase the original budget for 27 Weeks Lane from $350,000.00 up to $500,000.00. The vote was eight board members in favor, zero abstentions and Leon Brathwaite voting against.

Stephen Warriner gave the board a website design update. MVTV will be going with the local contract.

Chairman’s Report 

Stephen Warriner and the MVTV Board reviewed the draft 2026 MVTV Budget. The MVTV Board had a discussion about the budget. Stephen Warriner will update line items and present the updated 2026 Budget at the next board meeting. Rebecca Barca-Tinus made the suggestion to give a brief description to applicants and at MVRHS Awards Night for the Jonathan Revere Scholarship.

New Business 

The next MVTV Board meeting will be February 24th, 2026 at 1:30 p.m.

Bob Tankard spoke about a memorial plaque at MVTV for past MVTV Board Members. Leon Brathwaite will contact a company who makes plaques and report back at the next MVTV Board meeting.

Peter Vincent made a motion for adjournment at 2:20 p.m. Marco Rivera seconded the motion. The vote was unanimous in favor.
