Description:
105.5 Smooth Jazz sits down with Dr. Lorna Chambers-Andrade, the Past Vice President of ASALH (Association for the Study of African American Life and History). ASALH was originally founded on September 9, 1915, in Chicago, Illinois, by Dr. Carter G. Woodson, and it has a rich history. In this episode, we also highlight the Martha’s Vineyard Branch of ASALH, which was established in March 2002. Together, we discuss the vital importance of preserving the island's rich legacy and sharing opportunities with the younger generation.
